Guide to healthy eating for children

The Association “Agricola Neam de Gospodari” had from the beginning the aim of developing projects that would contribute to improving the quality of life.

If in 2019 we ran “The taste of the future”, a program through which we invested in education, and “The taste that is good”, which had as its objective the nutrition and healthy eating of children, more precisely, of small patients from the pediatric ward of the Municipal Hospital Bacău, in 2020 the pandemic changed our trajectory a little.

But what I learned is that both the future and what “does” us good have as an essential component the food and the way we choose to feed ourselves. And because it is the field in which we are experts, it is also the way in which we can contribute .

That’s why in 2021 we continue to invest in “Taste that does good”, but we address everyone who is responsible for growing a healthy future.

The Role of Parents and the System

Children’s nutrition is primarily in the care of us, the parents, in the first years of life. But with the entry into the collectivity, food becomes the responsibility of an entire system. A system that often leaves no room for choices, but which, we believe, is adaptable and open to contemporary solutions.

For us, the parents, and for those who take care of children’s health, the constant concern in the daily routine is related to a correct, balanced and easy-to-cook menu.
For children, taste, aromas and the pleasure of eating matter.

Addressing the Everyday Struggle

Many times we helplessly shrug our shoulders at the question “What else am I cooking today?” or we close our eyes and buy something convenient, fast, but with satisfying taste.

We believe that the responsibility for raising a healthy generation is ours, everyone’s. That’s why we set out to create a practical tool, a documented guide, a resource of tastes and ideas. Each recipe in this guide is created through the collaboration of a pediatrician specializing in nutrition and a chef concerned with taste and health.

Our Approach: A Balanced Perspective

We were looking for an integrated and balanced perspective, with as much addressability as possible and impact to match. Yes, this guide can be downloaded by every parent, every grandparent or even kids eager to get into the kitchen.

But we hope it will also be downloaded by kindergarten directors, school canteen administrators, catering company managers, school camp organizers.
Because we designed this tool for you, those who have assumed this great responsibility: feeding our children.

What’s in the Guide?

In this guide you will find breakfast, snack and lunch recipes with affordable ingredients, tasty combinations and nutritionally balanced.

It is a resource that we make available to all those who take care of a human child that needs to grow not only big, but also healthy.

And it’s a starting point for a necessary conversation about healthy choices, food education and the balance of raising the next generation.
