Ingredients for 4 servings
✓ 8 slices of whole wheat bread
✓ 200 g Prague ham
✓ 2 avocados
✓ 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
✓ 6 large lettuce leaves
✓ 100 g carrots
✓ 100 g cucumber
✓ 100 g red bell pepper, cut into sticks
Toast the whole wheat bread slices in the toaster until they become golden. Evenly spread them with avocado cream (previously mashed and mixed with a little bit of lemon juice and a tablespoon of Greek yogurt). Place 50 g of Prague ham and lettuce salad leaves on top. Add the second slice of bread on top of the sandwich and eat it with sticks of raw vegetables (carrot, red bell pepper and cucumber).
You can replace the lettuce salad leaves with arugula or spinach.
Tips & Tricks
If you bought an unripe avocado, don’t worry, there are some ways you can speed up its ripening process: leave it at room temperature in a paper bag with a banana, tomato or apple, or wrap it in newspaper and leave it at room temperature for 2-3 days.
You can also make the recipe with frozen avocado.
