Every weekend barbecue needs a few skewers. They are easy to prepare, delicious and everyone likes them. If you want to please everyone at your next grill party, here’s a recipe idea for chicken breast skewers, with or without vegetables. All you need is a little patience and a lot of space in your belly because they are irresistible.
1. Cut the boneless chicken breast into cubes, 2 centimeters each piece.
2. Place the meat in a bowl with a lid. Chef’s tip: a casserole is the best option.
3. In the bowl, grate the peel of a lemon. Chef’s tip: wash the lemon well first, and if it’s from the store, put it in a bowl of warm water and baking soda for 10 minutes.
4. Add 3 tablespoons of olive or vegetable oil.
5. Add 50 ml of white wine. If you’re not a fan of wine or don’t want it to contain alcohol, you can skip this step.
6. Crush 4 cloves of garlic and add them to the bowl. If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can use 2-3 teaspoons of grated garlic powder.
7. Add a grated teaspoon of ground thyme.
8. Add a pinch of salt and half a spoonful of pepper.
9. Mix the meat with the sauce very well and put the lid on. Then put the bowl in the fridge.
10. Leave the meat to marinate for at least 2 hours. Chef’s tip: if you have time, leave the meat to marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
11. Cut vegetables into 2-3 centimeter cubes. Chef’s tip: Try to cut vegetables the same size as the chicken.
12. Take the chicken pieces and stick them on the sticks. After each piece of chicken, put a piece of vegetable.
13. Place the skewers on the hot grill. Chef’s tip: turn them carefully on all sides, so they don’t burn and to be done evenly. Chef’s tip: You can make these skewers in a grill pan or on a grill with grill bars. Attention, if it is a barbecue, make sure that the embers are suitable and there is no fire.
14. Put on the plate and enjoy.
15. After removing the chicken from the grill, put it on a plate and cover it with foil for 10 minutes, during which time it will penetrate better.
